Owner, Creator, the Bard!
Welcome!
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my small business!
With the pandemic, like many, I found myself home all the time and was in search of a new hobby. A hobby that would help fill my creative void while also being an exercise in mindfulness. I tried gardening, meditating, walking, baking, I even tried raising worms at one point! I needed something that pulled my entire focus, something that would keep my mind from wandering.
One day, I found myself down a YouTube rabbit hole watching soap making videos. I loved watching the beautiful creations, the cuts, the colors, the glitter. It was all quite cathartic! I loved watching so much so that I decided to jump right in and try it for myself. I did tons of research, watched MORE videos, and finally, I purchased some basic tools and ingredients. In July 2020, I made my first loaf of soap.
It was scary, it was new, and more importantly, I found myself so focused on the soap making process that it became a sort of weekly meditation for me. I was thinking about soap, talking about ideas with my wonderful and supportive husband, even DREAMING about soap!! To be frank, I was hooked.
Helping others is also something that is very important to me, and with soapmaking, I had a way of doing that. I thought long and hard about what causes were important to me. I couldn’t give to everyone, and I couldn’t give to just one. So, I picked some fantastic charities whose mission I support:
The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland - The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland secures justice and resolves fundamental problems for those who are low-income and vulnerable by providing high quality legal services and working for systemic solutions. (https://lasclev.org/)
Gaza Soup Kitchen - Providing hot meals and essential support to those in need throughout Gaza. (https://gazasoupkitchen.com/)
Now that you know a little bit about me and my story, feel free to look around, share my website, and/or buy some bath products!
Thank you for sharing your time with me,
